Degreaser 260

A multi-purpose, concentrated citrus product that does the job of 3 products! This non-abrasive, water-based formula degreases new and used mesh and removes unwanted residue. As a nonflammable ink degrader, it emulsifies inks for easy water removal before reclaiming. Finally, it is a safe, non-caustic screen dehazer that will not deteriorate the mesh and will not burn skin or clothing. Freeze/thaw stable.

DEGREASER:

  • • Degreases new and used mesh
  • • Non-abrasive - does not induce premature mesh breakdown
  • • Removes residual hand oils and printing inks
  • • Freeze/Thaw Stable

INK DEGRADER:

  • • Emulsifies inks for easy water removal before reclaiming
  • • Safe, water-based formula
  • • Non-flammable
  • • Pleasant fragrance
  • • Cleans squeegees, flood bars, frames, etc.
  • • Degrades plastisol, UV, solvent-based and water based inks

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • • Ink Degrading: Remove excess ink from screen. Apply an amount of Degreaser 260 to cover residual ink. Using dedicated nylon scrub pad or brush, agitate in a circular motion on both sides of the screen. Ink will immediately emulsify. Rinse with water.
  • • Degreasing: After removing stencil with image mate Reclaimer 660, apply Degreaser 260 to wet screen. Degreaser 260 will cling to the screen. Using a clean nylon scrub pad or brush, spread Degreaser 260 with light agitation in a circular motion. Work up lather on both sides of the screen. Degreaser 260 may be left on screen to dwell while wet. Rinse with a garden hose.
  • • Dehazing: Apply Degreaser 260 to open image areas. Scrub with dedicated nylon scrub pad or brush. If area has been stained for an extended time, allow Degreaser 260 to penetrate for 2 to 5 minutes. Follow up with scrubbing: rinse with water. Pressure wash if necessary.

DEHAZER:

  • • Prevents ink haze
  • • Safe, non-caustic formula
  • • Won’t burn skin and clothing
  • • Does not deteriorate mesh like caustic products
  • • Removes old images from polyester and stainless steel mesh

INSTRUCTIONS:
Stencil Removing: Use image mate Degreaser 260 to remove residual ink from stencil. Rinse with water. Spray image mate Reclaimer 660 onto stencil, wetting both front and back sides thoroughly. Allow Reclaimer 660 to penetrate and break down stencil for approximately 2 minutes. Do not allow Reclaimer 660 to dry on stencil. Thick stencils may require mild abrasion using a nylon scrub pad or brush. Spray out stencil using pressure washer if necessary. Degrease mesh with image mate Degreaser 260.

CAUTION:
Irritant. Use in well ventilated area. Avoid eye or prolonged skin contact. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to container label and Material Safety Data Sheet for additional information.

TexTac

A water-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive designed for adhering textiles to pallets in the screen printing process. TexTac provides consistent registration without transferring to the garment. A single application may hold hundreds of garments before it is necessary to reapply. One gallon of TexTac lasts as long as 4 cases of aerosols. Freeze/thaw stable.

PROPERTIES:

  • • Appearance: White liquid, dries clear
  • • Solids: 58.5 - 62% by wt.
  • • Viscosity: 1,100 cps ( 3/50/77)
  • • Shelf Life: 1 year min. at room temp.
  • • pH: 4 - 5
  • • Wt. per gallon: 8.62 lbs.
  • • VOC content: < 0.50%
  • • Freeze/Thaw Stable

APPLICATIONS:

  • • Screen printing: holds garment down during printing
  • • Embroidery: keeps backer in place while stitching

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • • Apply: TexTac can be applied to pallet manually with a card, paintbrush, or spray bottle. We recommend air assisted spray units for fine, even coatings. We suggest applying pallet tape to a clean surface - this avoids scrubbing TexTac from the pallet. Only a thin layer is needed for shirt printing; however, a thicker layer may be needed for fleece, sweatshirts, towels, or other high lint materials. Dry: TexTac can be air-dried; however, 20 seconds under a flash unit will accelerate drying. A heavier coat of adhesive increases tack strength and dry times. TexTac will turn clear when dry.
  • • Retack: When lint build-up diminishes tack, a damp sponge can be used to knock off lint and re-tackify the adhesive, or reapply and allow TexTac to dry. Adhesive may transfer to garment if it is not dry or bonded to pallet. Retacking may not be necessary until 200 to 400 impressions.
  • • Clean up: Pallets, equipment, and floors can be cleaned with hot water mixed with image mate Degreaser 260. Pallet paper eliminates pallet cleaning. Acetone may be used on stubborn areas.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

  • • Retains tack for 200 shirts or more
  • • Eliminates overspray onto floor, equipment and air
  • • Water-based, therefore more environmentally friendly
  • • Non-flammable
  • • Ideal tack strength to hold substrate in registration
  • • Will not transfer onto textile garment
  • • One gallon replaces 4 to 5 cases of aerosol containers
  • • Freeze/Thaw Stable

Blockout Red 421

An inexpensive, water-based solution used as a plastisol, UV and solvent-based ink barrier. This bright red blockout and touchup liquid has just the right viscosity to spread easily over every mesh count. Solvent-enhanced agents greatly reduce dry times, yet the formula is nonflammable. Blockout 421 is water-soluble; therefore, it is not intended for use with water-based inks.

PROPERTIES:

  • • Appearance: Bright Red
  • • Viscosity: 4,000 cps
  • • Shelf Life: 1 year min. at room temp.
  • • Wt. per gallon: 8.6 lbs.
  • • Freeze/Thaw Stable: No
  • • Flammable: No

APPLICATIONS:

  • • Barrier against all plastisol, UV and solvent-based inks
  • • Blemish touchups
  • • Low and high mesh counts

INSTRUCTIONS:
After developing, thoroughly dry the stencil. Use Blockout Red 421 quart squeeze bottle to dispense blockout easily. Spread Blockout Red 421 into open stencil area using a card applicator or small squeegee. Blockout Red 421 can be diluted; added water will slow drying time. Dry stencil completely for maximun durability. Blockout Red 421 can be removed with warm water or Image Mate Reclaimer 660.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

  • • Solvent-enhanced, quick dry times
  • • Non-flammable
  • • Brilliant, transparent color
  • • High durability for long print runs
  • • Solvent resistant
  • • Non-staining
  • • Water-soluble
  • • High flexibility to handle low mesh tensions and high squeegee pressure
